This raglan sweater is worked in the round and incorporates textured stripes of a Twist-Stitch pattern (“Deep Waffle”) alternated with stripes of stockinette and a Yarn-Over stitch (“Tunisian Knitting”). The texture of the stitch patterns gives the sweater a lot of visual interest, while still looking modern and masculine.
In the pattern notes, instructions are given for one method to do a tubular cast-on and a Kitchener bind off (for the cuffs), but if you would prefer some other cast-on or bind off, just make sure to pick one that is suitably elastic. Pay careful attention to the Tunisian knitting stitch (which is actually a type of brioche stitch), making sure to do the yarn-overs knit-wise and the slip stitches purl-wise. The sleeves are worked to be more fitted by using 4 lengths with differing rates of decreases, and there is a table giving different instructions for different lengths of sleeves.
