Located in the northeastern corner of Iran, Mashad is centrally located within one of the best wool-producing regions in the Middle East. This allows for Mashad rugs to be both soft and durable. Highly ornate corner medallions as well as a deep magenta coloring are common traits of Mashad rugs. These characteristics are reflected in the socks through a textured pattern that creates panels where the corner brackets are decorated. This design is paired with a tonal magenta colorway that almost seems purple in some spots, also reminiscent of Mashad rugs. This pattern is the perfect choice to match with a luxury yarn to reflect the softness and durability that the rugs of this region were known for.
