I made this sweater a year ago and love it! It's true that the charts are complex, but so beautiful and satisfying to do. I didn't have any trouble with sizing. My sweater fits perfectly and I get a lot of compliments on it. I did make a few modifications, but more out of personal preference. I only used the two main colors from the kit and replaced the other 3 with other colors. I used the hem chart at the cuffs and added ribbing and I made a slight modification to the chart for the yoke because I didn't like the "trees" at the bottom. This was my first pattern with steeks, and my first really major fair isle pattern, so I was really pleased how it turned out.

I am very happy with my sweater. It fits great. I didn't do anything special, just followed the directions in the pattern (it is a bit complex). I found the charts for the colorwork on the upper body a bit difficult to follow when but found laying the front charts and back charts side by side and using highlighter tape helped a lot. I have had lots of complements on my sweater every time I wear it. I am knitting a second one for my friend.

Although challenging, this pattern is far from impossible. I purchased the kit and was pleased to see that it included plenty of yarn to complete the sweater. The most challenging part of the project was flipping charts for the color work on the chest and back. It would help if these 4 charts were on separate pages so one can lay them side by side rather than flipping back and forth. Other than that, I found the pattern to be detailed and easy to follow. I would rate my skill level as intermediate knitter. This was my second project to include a steek.

The pattern itself is lovely, though complicated. However, the website makes the pattern sound as if it includes 4 inches of ease which it does not. I've checked my gauge over and over and the sweater I'm knitting will not fit me.

I was very excited to get this pattern only to find it is quite impossible. I am a seasoned knitter and was disappointed to find that I would have to rewrite this pattern extensively. The sizing is off by great proportions even when using the yarn called for and correct gauge. The cuff alone is almost twice the size anyone would ever want and with the increases that follow I feel as though this sweater was sized for elephants. I like a challenge and will be reworking the pattern to fit human proportions. I will not be buying another pattern that hasn't received any reviews however.
