These toe up socks feature a large diamond lace motif across the toes and the front of the cuff, bordered by small cables. This pattern uses a short row toe and a heel flap. Designer, Wendy D. Johnson suggests knitting these socks with a heathered or slightly variagated sock yarn because it will not obscure the bold motifs. Shown in Merlot Heather Stroll.
