The lacy holes give this throw a delicate look and provide the fibers plenty of room to take advantage of their insulating properties. After mastering this lace pattern in a throw, move onto the Lace 1, 2, 3 scarf in combination with a lace yarn, such as Shadow. Thinner yarn and smaller needles will give this pattern repeat a much more delicate look and allow you to get a look into the beautiful world of knitted lace. The pattern includes a one page tutorial that explains the basic concepts of lace and what stitches are used to create this unique look. A simple repeat of 4 rows that is easily memorized makes this an ideal pattern to learn lace. Only one row asks the knitter to pay attention.
