- Description
- Need Needles?
I'm a self-taught knitter. So, when trying to redesign a
general sweater from Jacqueline Fee's The Sweater
Workshop to be worked top down, I didn't know that
one couldn't start with the neckband.
This fitted raglan is worked from the top down, starting with a garter-stitch neckband. It has a scoop neck and full-length sleeves. Increases for the raglan shaping are made on either side of a 3 stitch raglan "seam".
The sweater is named after Kingsgate Bay, one of my favorite places to walk to for the couple years we lived in Kent. Kingsgate is named for King Charles II (and the Restoration of the Monarchy).
