Directions for this project inMason Dixon Knitting: Outside the Lines. Big yarn, simple chart and felting… This is a good place to start your own personal Fair Isle journey. Knit in the round this rug requires the you hold only one color consistently in the right hand and the other in the left. Because it is felted you don't have to worry too much about the tightness of your strands. You will also get a chance to learn steeks, but not to worry you won't have to cut your project until after it is felted and all the stitches are stuck together. Once felted you will be left with a dense mat that will make a great compliment to any bedside, doorway or sun porch. You will finish the block piece with a whip-stitch edging. Shown in Wool of the Andes Bulky Wine (A), Blackberry (B), Hazelnut (C), Navy (D), Taupe (E), Emerald (F), Oregano (G) and Scuba (H).
