The Isle Cowl combines techniques and patterns from the Shetland isles. The lace pattern hails from the main isle of Shetland while the stranded color knitting is more evocative of the northern most isle - Fair Isle. I hope you enjoy!

This cowl starts with a provisional cast on and is knit in the round as a tube on 16"-circular needles. When you have completed the lace/stranded/lace sequence the live stitches on your needles are grafted to the beginning stitches. You will "unzip" the provisional cast on, place those sts on a second 16"-circular needle, and then graft the stitches together.
