Hermit crabs are fascinating to watch at an aquarium. Because they are detritivores, they sift and eat in a continual flurry, their little mouthparts and legs moving with rapid-fire efficiency. This crab version is a lengthy project, requiring working knowledge of short rows, picking up stitches, Kitchener grafting, the knit cast-on method, increases, and decreases. The end result, though, is the sweetest knit crustacean you’ll ever see! Shown in Calypso Heather, Merryweather, Orange, Red, and Coal Wool of the Andes.
