Every once in a while I cast on a “mind clearer.” I get a lot of strange looks when I’m asked, “What are you knitting?” and I respond, “A mind clearer.” A “mind clearer” knit is one of those knits that I just cast on and knit. No paper close by to write notes as I go, no calculator, no sketch pad. It’s just me, my needles and yarn. This kind of knitting gives me the most satisfaction and pleasure. It’s as if I’m released to just create and be free.
This “Mind Clearer,” happened to be one my local knitting group fell in love with and asked for the pattern. How can I not oblige?
I find that Greta is the perfect knit to throw on in the morning while you’re making that first cup of coffee or tea. Put a belt on (or not) and toss it over some skinny jeans or leggings and you’re ready to run errands. Happy knitting!
