The Glynnys long-sleeved pullover features a celtic cable motif (adapted from a design in Melissa Leapman’s Continuous Cables) just below the front crew neckline. While it is an intricately patterned motif, it is the only one on the entire garment. This pullover is knit in the round up to the armhole bind-off, then the upper back and upper front are finished by knitting from side to side. There is a center panel back and front: on the back it’s worked in an easy texture pattern; on the front the texture pattern splits to make way for the cable motif. Optional waist-shaping can be worked in a number of ways to suit your preferences. The side-front, side-back and sleeves are knit in stockinette stitch.
This pattern is written to the level of an intermediate level knitter, but if you’re a beginner looking for a project to expand your skills, you can work this pattern with a little coaching.
Sweater is shown with 2" positive ease; when calculating your size below, please include these 2" for a perfect fit

Needles: Size 5 (3.75mm): 16" circular & 24" or 32" circular (optional)
Size 7 (4.5mm): 24" or larger circular & 16" circular & DPNS (optional)
