Fun and easy with so many possibilities for playing with color!
Make this 3-colour slouch hat with textured brim to match any outfit –the possibilities are endless! The brim is worked in a loop pattern stitch using three colors, but its seven stripes may be worked in two, three or seven colors. The remainder of the hat is knit in Stockinette stitch. Knit in the round from the bottom up, this hat may be made more or less slouchy by varying the length before decreasing for the crown. An Estonian Cast On is used for a nice stretchy start to this hat. Crown decreases are worked in a basic spiral pattern. The pattern is written for 4 sizes, child to adult. Finished hat circumference: 16 (18, 20, 22)” / 40.5 (45.5, 51, 56) cm; to be worn with 1” / 2.5 cm of negative ease.
