Based on a nursery rhyme, the Counting Crows pullover features bands of crows, numbers, and Fair Isle borders. While you use traditional stranded colorwork techniques, this design is modern and original. This sweater is highly customizable, it could be worn by a girl or boy, and it would be easy to change the crows into cardinals, blue birds, even parrots! The details of the crow faces and fingers are added later using duplicate stitch embroidery. While this pattern uses techniques such as steeking, The New Stranded Colorwork provides clear tutorials for every component of this sweater. Shown in Stroll Sport in Sarge, Mink Heather, and Black.

Notions: (5) ¾” buttons

Needles: Size 2 & 3: 24" circs and DPNs
