Like the Ca’d’Oro estate, the Contarini sweater is gilded, ornate, and spectacular. The top portion of the sweater is simple stockinette fabric which really shows off the beauty of your yarn and knitting. But the bottom of this sweater is adorned with picot edging, Fair Isle motifs, lace borders, and a ribbon closure at the waist. The Contarini sweater is both restrained and opulent.
