This delightful hat, with its beaded band of topsy turvy hearts, starts as a simple strip of garter stitch joined into a tube. The stitches along one edge of the tube are then picked up for the main body of the hat and worked circularly. The hat is finished with a beaded edge that is gathered to form a decorative crown. Don’t worry if you have not knitted with beads before. This pattern takes you step by step in knitting a planned color sequence of beads. Both charted and detailed written instructions are given for counting, stringing and knitting the beads. Project requires 252-288 glass seed beads, size 6/0 in two colors
Needles: Size 5 (3.75mm): straights & 16" circular
