Designed for Knit Picks, these gorgeous silk hankies are available in the rich and vibrant colors that Hanks in the Hood is known for. Each silk hankie, also known as mawata, is made of silk from cocoons that are stretched and dried over a square loom, letting you enjoy layer after layer of lighter than air silk that can then be pulled apart, drafted and spun into yarn. Knitters and crocheters can also indulge in this luxurious fiber by working directly off of the silk hankie for a delightful fiber treat!

Each hankie is approximately 1/2 ounce of silk in lush colors.

Have you ever wanted to experiment with fiber, but without the need for special accessories like a spindle or spinning wheel? Then give silk hankies a try! Also known as mawata, these light and airy layers of silk are first drafted into strands that you can then use to knit or crochet with directly.
