The East Meets West Satchel is not just a bag, but a functional work of art that will be envied by all! Available in a purple and tropical inspired palette, the rich Russian and Chinese florals come to life when set against the bright and vibrant colors. Interesting techniques such as stranded knitting, short rows, intarsia, and duplicate stitch will keep knitters on their toes while attention to small details adds the finishing touch. Knit in three pieces and sewn together, the strap continues around the satchel to form the base while the flap is knitted on last and includes an I-cord border for a neat, finished look. The pattern also gives the option to reinforce and line the East Meets West satchel for added stability. Kit includes twenty 50 gram balls of Palette and the instructions for the East Meets West Bag.
You will need a US 1 (2.5 mm) 32-60" circular needle, approx. 1 yard of fabric for lining, approx. 1 yard of stiff interfacing, stitch markers, and a yarn needle. Finished measurements: 16" w x 9" h x 5" d with a 25" long strap.
Make sure to check out Kerin's video class on how to line your East Meets West bag with stiff interfacing!
