Higgs Field is an asymmetric triangle shawl, worked from the right tip to the left side. It uses two contrasting colors of Knit Picks Gloss DK, worked with mosaic stripes and cables, with the cables floating over the stripes. It uses three balls of the main color and two balls of the contrast color.
The design was inspired by the physics idea that the mass of bosons is caused by their interactions with the Higgs Field. The mosaic stripes represent the field itself, while the cables represent the wavy lines often used in Feynman diagrams to represent the gauge bosons.
