The ripples cause the ends to taper almost to a point. Despite being a fairly dense and warm stole, the length makes it stay on nicely and the slim ends do not add unwanted bulk.
This stole took up almost all of the 5 skeins I used. You may want an extra just in case! The middle portion is easy to lengthen or shorten as desired, and it is simple to make the tapered ends more tapered.
While I used worsted weight, this pattern works really well in fingering and sport too. Knit at the same gauge for a more airy stole.
The pattern is fully written out line by line, and charted. Take your choice!
