I am intrigued by all forms of needlework, and spent several years studying bobbin lacemaking when I came across a picture of a Shetland lace shawl in a British lace journal. Since I “knew” how to knit (having learned as a child), I decided I could do that (ignorance is bliss?); and proceeded to fall in love with all forms of knitting. An accountant by profession, I abandoned the Corporate world in 2004 to work full time designing knitwear and teaching knitting classes - a decision my very understanding husband and two Yorkiepoos have totally supported.
