Joan Kosmachuk Patterns
Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Joan has just moved with her husband and their papillon to San Francisco. An allergy to wool caused her to give up knitting for more than a decade. In 2008, through the encouragement of her best knitting friend, she discovered the many wonderful new wool-free yarns (such as Cotlin) that are being produced. She is knitting again and now designing for others, like herself, who are allergic to wool. Her blog, Wool Free and Lovin' Knit , inspires other knitters with allergies to find their own wool-free way in the sheep-centric world of fiber arts.
