Are you as happy as I am it's Friday? Well this week's Freebie Friday pattern is a great pattern by Nadya Stalling - her Slavic Star Hand Bag
This cute little bag would be a good introduction to colorwork and it uses our Full Circle Bulky yarn so it goes quick!
Great for carrying around a small project - I'm thinking this would be good for something like my WIP sock - which I have on me at all times.
Nadya has been part of the IDP program for almost 2 years and I always enjoy her patterns. I've been eyeing her Galapagos Cardigan recently, as I've been looking for patterns to use our pretty new Chroma colors for.
Don't you love the little birds & waves? I'm heading to the Oregon coast in May and think it might be just thing to have to walk on the beach
The Galapagos Cardigan can be purchased for $3.99 right here:
And don't forget the free pattern!
Have a great weekend everyone!

Mar 22, 2012 at 5:12 PM This bag caught my eye immediately! I'm definitely gonna make it... it's beautiful, Nadya! I'm new to knitting, so will be doing this for my first project. Thanks so much for sharing. :)

Mar 2, 2012 at 4:51 PM Such a pleasure to see my design featured on Stacey's blog! Thank you for all nice words! This color work indeed is very good for beginners: the longest "color step" is 5 sts and there are only few of them, most of them are 1-3 sts, pretty easy on tention. Happy knitting! And yarn feels so nice to touch (my cat loves it when it's empty)
