Joan of Dark, a.k.a. Toni Carr has done it again. Knits for Nerds is an wonderful eclectic collection of 30 science fiction, fantasy & comic book patterns by several designers in one book. Like the "Next Generation Sweater" from Star Trek, The Next Generation, and the Summer Queen Shawl inspired by an urban fantasy novel. Or how about the Cunning scarf & socks inspired by the Jayne Cobb character in the television series Firefly, the "Big Bang Guy's Sweater Vest" from The Big Bang Theory and the "Aim to Misbehave Jacket" was inspired by the Brown Coats of the television show Firefly, but in a feminine version.
