This book is fantastic! I got it in a spinners gift set. If your a new old or not sure yarn mavenyoyll love this book. It walks you through the roots to closet of fiber arts. Going over types of fibers where they are from and difference in quality and use to fiber prep then to how they are spun and why with historical kinds to famoys !moments. Through dying. The dying section is slightly more stream lined to acknowledge acid and natural dyes. With methodology on standard dye practice but have great tips on branching out. Then the book end with great pattern utilizing the am lls you've learned about. The appendixes ate great with spinning dying and prep worksheets, as well as resources for fibers, spinning supplies, dyes and yarn vendors. I adore this book. If your new to knitting this will give a fantastic perspective of every aspect of the yarn life. As an experienced I learned a great deal.
