After hearing other knitter's raving about it, I finally went and took this book out from the library. The wonder of this book is the author's thorough understanding of the subject matter through experience and research and her ability to transmit that knowledge to you. The pictures aren't the prettiest and the designs are woefully out of date, but the techniques and explanations are evergreen. You will come out the other end of this book understanding the mechanics, not just of your sweater, but of knit fabric as well.
