Cornelia Tuttle Hamilton has republished some of her most iconic designs for Noro in one anthology. This book gives some background about the Noro company, Eisaku Noro himself, and shows beautiful and inspirational photos of the Noro color room, rainbows of roving being carded, and huge spools of Noro yarn. The photography in this book is stunning, it's amazing to see all of the unique color combinations and yarn colorways.
Cornelia Tuttle Hamilton's designs for Noro range from minimalist and restrained to delightful and whimsical. She has republished her Klaralund Kimono sweater, which was made famous because the body and sleeves are just rectangles, so if you can knit a scarf, you can make this sweater. I love the shaping on her Lotorp Origami bag, which was knit in one piece, then folded and seamed to create the form. Cornelia Tuttle Hamilton's designs are very wearable and flattering. She predominately uses self striping yarns in this book, but several of the patterns feature vertical or chevron stripes or employ other techniques to break up horizontal stripes across the torso. Check this book out if you are a self striping yarn junkie or if you love Japanese inspired design
