I have an older edition of this book, so I don't know how helpful my review would be on this edition. So I'll phrase it this way: if this edition is similar to mine, it's a great resource. I don't use it with each project I crochet, but I do look to it if a project includes something new to me. I find its explanations good. The photographs as well. I also like several of the patterns in the stitch dictionary. There ARE some projects to make, though they are mostly more suitable to an intermediate or advanced crocheter. There's a sweater in there I LOVE, but have to work up the nerve to try. I think it's a little past my abilities right now.
