$49.99 - $55.99

A blond twist on our ever-popular Rainbow wood needles, Sunstruck’s golden layers of laminated birch allow every stitch to be beautifully displayed on a sun-kissed finish. Perfect for working with dark or variegated yarns, our Sunstruck needles have the same strength and stability that you know and love - all with a lighter wood finish that provides endless hours of enjoyable knitting.

Just like our circular and double pointed needles, Sunstruck straight needles continue to deliver sharp, tapered points and a comfortable, lightweight feel.

Available in both 10” and 14” lengths, each set includes a pair of knitting needles in US sizes 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10.5, 11 (3.50mm-8.00 mm). Each straight needle set comes with a convenient vinyl carrying case that snaps shut, so you can effortlessly store your needles in your project bag or on the go. The 10"” set comes in a 10 x 11” vinyl carrying case and the 14”" set comes in a 10 x 15” vinyl carrying case.

I love the feel and strength of these straight needles. I also have the original set. I ordered the Sunstruck set because I needed light colored for the darker yarns. I will keep this set, but they are not sunstruck.. they are more walnut colored, at least my set is... so I am disappointed in the color...

I originally had my eye on the interchangeable version of this set. I eventually decided on the Chiaogoo bamboo interchangables (which I highly recommend). Having fallen in love with wood in general I finally found an excuse to replace my ancient metal Boyes. The Sunstruck straights are fabulous! The colored versions are pretty but I was far more drawn to the simplicity of the un-dyed birch. They are smooth and strong with a pleasant variegated blond color. They are pointier than the bamboo but not overly so. The light color works well with any color yarn and has assisted my getting-old eyesight. They come in a very ugly plastic sleeve but that is just another excuse to shop for a pretty new case.

These are so nice to knit with, have enough grab, seem quite strong (I do try to be carefull with the thinner ones but have never had one break) and beautiful. I bought a set of these after I has been knitting for about half a year as a treat and have really enjoyed them. I thought I had lost one and was really dissapointed but luckily found it under the car seat and now use a kneedle case if I carry them with me). They make knitting a more aesthetic experience and work well in practical terms too. The only thing I would change is if the number labels included mm as well as US numbers.

I purchases a set of 14" Sunstruck straight needles when they were on sale a couple of months ago and am really impressed. Not only are they beautiful to look at, but they are really strong. I have purchased several sets of Harmony needles over the years and I like them, but they break quite easily. I tried to scratch my back with one and it shattered -- I know that's not the purpose, but it was handy and no one was available to help me out. Thank you Knitpicks for providing such terrific products.

I bought these as a personal splurge (I usually use Nickel plated circs) but I was amazed about the ease and quality! I love the color as they are easier to see with than the more colorful counterpart (I am severely near sighted). I am a semi-new knitter so I am learning to relax a little as I learn more and more, but I also think these are stronger (not sure if it is my imagination). I did my first lace scarf with this and it turned out so pretty and I am glad the needles had some grab or I would have been dropping stitches left and right. I am tempted to dive in to the wooden knitting needles pool and not look back. Probably just as effective with Fair Isle Knitting...but not really sure..
