re: Robin's review, nooo, you can tell by the "hook" at the top of the 1 that the pic shows 91, not 16, meaning that the tens are closest to the needle (i.e. tens of rows) and the ones are furthest from the needle - just as Robin says she prefers, and so do I. My old ones don't hang from the needle as this one does, a handy feature. It is cheaply made, but serviceable.

Does the job but doesn't rotate as smoothly as I would like. I don't find it necessary to spend more for a row counter.

I use (and lose) a ton of row counters so I appreciate the low cost of these. Something I wanted to know before buying my first one was how the numbers were oriented. The photo looks like the number is 91 with the ones farthest from your needle -- which is the direction I prefer. However, it is actually 16 because the tens are furthest from the needle and the ones are next to your needle. A small quibble but thought other people might like to know.

Wonderful row counters. So easy to have them where they can slip over the needle, with the stitches, and move along from row to row just as the stitches do. No need to go hunting for where you laid it down, or needing a pad and pencil to keep count of your rows. A must have for most any knitting project where you need to keep count.
