Directions for this project in Victorian Lace Today. The eyelet pattern for the body lends itself perfectly to our hand-dyed lace yarn Shimmer, allowing enough surface to appreciate the subtle color changes within the baby alpaca and silk blend. The contrast of the solid areas with the open spaces provides the texture of a more complicated lace pattern using only yarnovers and k2tog. This project is great for a beginner lace knitter since your confidence will grow while you create the easier main area so when you are ready to add the more traditional lace border you will have no hesitations. Shown in Turquoise Splendor.
