If you want the stripes to match across a pair of socks, make sure to check the stripe sequence when you start.
Note: Each Felici colorway is a limited edition. As colors sell out, they will be replaced with new colors! For the most accurate color matching, please purchase a Felici Self Striping Sock Yarn color card.
“Knit Picks’ most popular sock yarn, Felici, now comes in eight new limited edition colorways, each with a unique, evenly spaced striping pattern…Try this fiber in a larger garment, such as a sweater, and it simulates an intricate Fair Isle design.” Cast On, Aug-Oct 08
“This Superwash Merino blend is super-duper soft…Have fun with the stripes in other projects besides socks.” Knit N Style, October 08
“Self-striping yarn for socks is the latest rave in the knitting community. Knit Picks has introduced an entire new line of self-striping sock yarns- one of the colorways is sure to attract your eye.” Loom Knitters Circle, July 08
“It knits up well, the yarn is incredible soft, the finished product is comfortable to wear, and Felici holds up well to washing…Felici has quickly become a favorite of many sock knitters.” Knitting Purls, July 08
“Felici is a play on the Italian word for "happy" and "glad" - your feet will be dancing with joy! The superwash Merino is 19.5 microns (layman's translation: super-duper soft). The nylon lends strength and durability to the wool, making it suitable for the constant wear socks get. And the machine washability means you will be wearing them constantly.” Kaboodle.com
“…These are-wonder of wonders-colors I’d choose to use. And the stripes are real, bold stripes, which I prefer even though I acknowledge that make my ankles look fat. And, you know, the stuff is from Knit Picks, so it’s inexpensive but good quality- not much of a gamble.” The Panopticon, September 2008
As seen in Loom Knitters Circle, August 2008, Schooner Socks.
"The bold stripes of Felici make it useful for more than just socks. I knit my son a hat with it and it couldn’t have been easier. Self striping yarns maximize the effect of simple colorwork techniques, which means less ends to weave in! And when my son gets the hat dirty—as babies do—I can toss it in the washer and dryer without a second thought!"
